Riot police stands guard in fron of a looted and burned post off

Police cut short a mass funeral service just outside the Nairobi slum of Kibera when they fired tear gas into a civilian crowd of mourners. Nearly one thousand people had gathered to mourn the death of 28 mostly Luo members of the Kibera community who died in post-election clashes. Young men looted and burned two cars and a state-owned post office to protest the act of disrespect. Kenya, January 233, 2008
