The Campaign Begins!
Mary is holding her first official campaign meeting with representatives from her community in Juba, Southern Sudan today. The meeting was organized by supporters in Juba and will mark the launch of her campaign for a parliamentary seat. Mary plans to move her campaign to Pibor and surrounding areas in the course of the next few weeks.
Mary, a popular musician in Southern Sudan, joined politics after her community in Pibor County, Jonglei State, nominated her to run for the women’s list in the National Assembly.
